How to use the streaming video coupon you’ve been emailed

Streaming Video Coupons look like this –>
They arrive in an email with the subject:
‘You’ve received a Streaming Video Coupon from Splendid Productions‘

NOTE: coupons can only be applied once so please ensure they are applied to the correct account during checkout.

If you have bought multiple titles (for a reduced price!) coupons will be sent in separate emails.
IMPORTANT: Please go through the checkout process (see below) for each coupon individually before applying the next coupon.

Rental Period
The rental period begins only when you apply the coupon and runs for the rental period from that date. By default the coupon is valid for 1 year so it is not essential that you apply the coupon as soon as you purchase it. Once you have applied the coupon the streaming video page shows a notification telling you how much of the rental period remains.

Apply the coupon and start watching

First, make sure you’re connected to the internet and follow these steps (we also recommend logging into your Splendid Shop account for the easiest process):

1. Click on the coupon
This will open your browser at the appropriate streaming video page. There will be a notification at the top that the voucher has been applied.

2. Click ADD TO BASKET
This will take you to the CART which shows the coupon has been applied and the price has been reduced to £0.00.

3. Click PROCEED TO CHECKOUT

ERRORS
You may get an error message at this stage, or if the price does not reduce to £0.00 this may mean the coupon has already been used or has expired. If you are unable to check out without making a payment, and you believe the coupon is still valid, please email shop@splendidproductions.co.uk.

4. The Checkout screen
Clicking PLACE ORDER adds the streaming video title to a Splendid Shop account

If you are already logged into the correct Splendid Shop account you can simply click PLACE ORDER and start watching instantly.

If you already have an account but you aren’t logged in, use the RETURNING CUSTOMER LINK and then click PLACE ORDER to start watching.

If you don’t have an account you will need to create one here. [NOTE: if you plan to share access, read this before you create your account)

Once you have added your details, email address and password you can click PLACE ORDER to start watching. The confirmation page loads with details of the order, click VIEW to watch the video.

To access the video at any time during the rental period:

Log in at My Account
At the dashboard click PURCHASED PRODUCTS, and select the video you want to watch.

The trailer will now have been replaced by the full film and the chapter list will be displayed, along with full versions of the bonus materials.

How to share your video rental

Unlike Netflix, we are happy for account details to be shared within institutions (within reason) so that a single rental can for example be watched by students at home.

IMPORTANT! If you want to share access to this video with your students/other viewers, you will need to share the login and password for your Splendid Shop account. We suggest using a public/institution email address and choosing a password that doesn’t include any personal information. You can use your school address for the account, and there is no access to payment information for those logged in. You can change your password later in the My Account section, but you can’t change your email address.

Once you have applied your coupon and added the video to your account with appropriately sharable login email & password, direct other users to https://splendidproductions.co.uk/my-account/

They should then log in with the email & password you have provided – DON’T REGISTER A NEW ACCOUNT!

Once logged in they can choose available videos from the PURCHASED PRODUCTS menu – full details here.

Help! I didn't get the email!

Emails are sent automatically once payment has been received. If you have checked out using credit cart/PayPal the email containing the coupon/s should arrive immediately.

If this did not happen:

check you haven’t checked out with the ‘pay by invoice’ option. This will delay the order while we generate the invoice and wait for payment. We will confirm once payment has been received.
check your spam folder or with your network administrator.
Shop emails are sent from either shop@splendidproductions.co.uk or ben@splendidproductions.co.uk.

If you’re expecting an email and you can’t find it please email ben@splendidproductions.co.uk .

APPLYING COUPONS WITHOUT AN EMAIL

You can also access and apply your coupons from within your account (this only works when payment has been made).

First, log in to your Splendid Shop account and click on the ORDERS link on the dashboard. Choose the order which includes your streaming video and click VIEW.

If the coupon has not yet been applied, it will appear here. You can manually apply the coupon code – which is the letters and numbers above the date – but you’ll need to check out from the specific product page and rental duration listed below (the coupons relate to these pages and won’t work anywhere else).

Follow the correct link, click the ‘add to basket’ button and in the cart page, type the coupon code in the box below the product. When you click ‘Apply coupon’ the price should reduce to zero and you can check out as normal.

You can also purchase instant streaming using these links, but you can only pay by credit/debit card or PayPal.
