Splendid in 2025/26
Sadly we have once again decided that we will not be offering a touring production this academic year (Autumn 2025/ Spring 2026).
We are all aware of the way the environment has changed in the last 20 years for drama in education. Many of you are being asked to provide more for your students with fewer resources, and it is the same for us.
It has always been important to us that our sessions are affordable to all schools and colleges. In recent years it has been increasingly difficult to make the performance tour cost-effective both for our clients and for us.
We have therefore reluctantly decided against returning with a new production, and instead use the time to explore alternative options for funding and operating our performance-based work in future.
Our workshops continue to be available (booking around the busy lives of our practitioners) and of course our range of streaming productions and teaching resources is online and ready whenever you need it.
Autumn CPDs with Kerry Frampton
One of the things we would like to do with our non-touring time in Autumn 2024 is to schedule some more CPD sessions with (Splendid Artistic Director and All-Round Drama Geek) Kerry Frampton.
Kerry can offer workshops for teachers in all our regular workshop areas, plus bespoke sessions (within reason!), and we’re looking at a few different formats to make these happen.
