UBU on film: online and on DVD now

Notorious tyrant UBU may (or may not) be locked up in his cell, but we can announce that the film of our production has now been released!

The multi-camera film is a live recording of our performance at The Quarry Theatre in Autumn 2021, and provides incredible detail for those writing about the production, and incredible entertainment for those who enjoy high-quality theatre.

The film is available now to buy on DVD (from £35) or to stream instantly online from our shop (£7.50 for 30 days’ access).

Also available is the UBU script (including extensive notes and production photos, £15) and our 44-page UBU education pack (£12) – or you can combine DVD, script and pack in our £55 UBU Super Pack offer.

Stream Kerry’s FAQ for free!

On 9 February 2021, we hosted an online Q&A session with Splendid’s Artistic Director Kerry Frampton.

Over the years we have regularly received questions from students and teachers about the company’s origins and ethos, and so we took the opportunity for Kerry to respond to these frequently asked questions, starting from the very beginning.

The video – handily edited into bite-sized chunks – is now available to stream for free from the NEW Splendid Shop.

Splendid's Streaming Video - update

Splendid’s Production videos are now available to stream direct from our new shop website. The films, along with bonus material and subtitles (only selected titles for now – but we’re working on it!) join our growing range of CPD and training videos to stream from the Splendid Shop.

All ten production videos, including Dr Faustus, Metamorphosis, Woyzeck and Antigone can be rented for £7.50 for 30 days. A free Splendid Shop account is required (you will create this when you check out), and the videos are viewable on all devices with internet browsers.

You can stream all our videos instantly with payment by credit card/Paypal, and we now offer the option to buy an access code to allow finance offices to arrange rentals for other people, or to pay via invoice/purchase order.
